Any time that you take it upon yourself to master a new skill – whether it be photography or learning how to play a new sport – you have to start off with baby steps. Think about it: when you were a kid, learning to ride your bicycle, you had to use the training wheels for a while, didn’t you? It’s the same with photography: you start off using all of the automated settings, and then you learn to progress to more advance, manual settings. However, some new photographers find this progression to be a bit intimidating.

We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when you take that big leap to progress from full-on auto settings when you shoot digital photographs to more advanced settings. To help you learn all that you need to know to take this monumental step forward, we have found a video lesson that should help you to make the transition with ease.

Remember, the biggest thing that you need to muster up, in order to change over from auto settings to manual settings, is just a little bit of willingness. Yes, it will take some time to master all the different camera settings that you just learned about, but if you really love photography, you’ll find that mastering those settings is almost as fun as taking photographs. Play around with the things you just learned and you should find that you are soon progressing and becoming a much better photographer.

You’ll undoubtedly want to show off the photographs that you take with your newfound camera mastery skills. And that’s great! But don’t forget to share this information with your friends, too.
