Do you have your macro photography gift ready?

Here are some macro photography ideas for Mother’s Day that will put a smile on any mother’s face!

The Los Angeles Times has recently published an article on Mother’s Day photography ideas for 2013. Their recommendations relate predominantly to general photography however there are some gems that you could buy for the budding macro mom-photographer.

Some of the more notable suggestions by Robert Lachman from the Los Angeles Times included –

1.       Canon EOS Rebel SL1

2.       Lenspen DSLR Pro Set

3.       Nikon COOLPIX AW110

4.       Joby GorillaPod

5.       MeFoto Roadtrip Travel Tripod

6.       Framed Prints

7.       Camera Bag Purse

We won’t say too much about the above as we think Lachman has done a great job summarizing them for you over at the Los Angeles Times. What we will say is… we don’t understand why the Camera Bag Purse was so far down on his list! In our opinion, this has to be the number ONE item for every fashion conscious mom-photographer!!!

Anyways, here are some other ideas for you to consider when shopping around for your mother’s day gift. We all know that every single mom on the planet loves one thing… flowers. Sometimes sticking to the proven mother’s day gifts is the only guaranteed way of making your mom feel special on their day.

Besides… this is going to be a win-win situation for everyone. Your mom receives a bunch of beautiful flowers for mother’s day. She (and you) can then use these flowers as subjects for her (and your) macro photography. Everyone is happy! Prints of these macro photography photos can also be printed out and framed to remember the special day.

If you really want to impress, try personalizing your mother’s day gift by learning some quick flower arrangement techniques. As a macro photographer, this will also come in handy for all your indoor flower macro photography projects as well. We think this is a really fun macro photography idea… You create your flower arrangement masterpiece and then take several close-up photos of them!

To get you started, here is a video that we have located for you that teaches you about the latest trend on fishbowl vase flower arrangement.
