Tutorial – How to Sharpen your Photo in Photoshop

Digital photography really has changed the world. With no worries about running out of film, we can all snap hundreds, even thousands of photographs on any given day, if we so choose. And for those of us who enjoy macro photography, either as a hobby or as a profession, being able to take as many photographs as we want to is certainly a major benefit that modern-day digital photography has over old school methodologies.

It’s not enough to simply take a lot of digital photographs, though. You must learn a bit about post-processing. And that means getting comfortable with higher-end digital editing solutions, like Adobe Photoshop. A lot of macro photographers have been itching to learn more about how to use Photoshop to sharpen their favorite shots. In today’s macro photography tutorial, you will learn some simple tricks that will teach you how to sharpen your photo in photoshop to make your macro photographs pop like never before.

You may want to watch this tutorial a few times to see the entire process and to get comfortable with the steps that need to be taken. Be prepared, however, to spend a bit of time in the old trial and error process. Just as it’s often difficult to master the basics of actually shooting macro photographs, it can be a bit tricky to get used to Photoshop if you’ve never used it before. Keep at it, though, and you’re sure to become a master of macro photography sharpening techniques in no time at all.

And don’t forget that you can employ some of these techniques with other photo-editing software programs. Some of the options may have different names, and you may have to spend a bit more time finding the right settings. But there are other solutions, like GIMP, for people who simply can’t invest a lot of money in purchasing Photoshop right now.
